He'd tell you he was practicing new meditation techniques.

He'd be a great big liar.

"Hi, you. What're you up to?" Rory asked, grinning and settling on her bed.

"If I say I was thinking about you, does that make me completely ridiculous?" he asked.

"Yes, but I'm okay with that," she said, grinning.

"Then so am I," he replied. "How's school?"

"It's funny, but I didn't manage to catch up on that sleep that I was planning on," she said, eyes darting up to make sure her door was shut. "So...tiring as usual."

"I'd say I was sorry about keeping you up," Anakin said with a slow smile, "but I wasn't." He paused. "You still want me coming for this weekend?"

"Yes, but only if you don't mind sleeping and watching me study for a bit of it," she murmured.

"I get to spend time with you," he replied, "why would I possibly complain about what we're doing?"

"And you can meet people and we can have a movie marathon and eat Chinese and have lots of sex," Rory decided, fairly certain Paris was still out.

"That sounds like a brilliant plan," Anakin said, grinning. He reached for the visual option on his comlink. "Turn on the projector," he said quietly. "I want to see you."

River stopped by sometime before lunch, knocking lightly on the door before entering.

She did, and soon a little Rory was beaming and waving. "Hi!"

Anakin grinned at her. "Good morning, River," he said.

For once, the defenses around his feelings wasn't impossible to get around: Anakin was projecting soul-deep happiness.

"Good morning." Feeling his happiness made her smile, unconciously. And she guessed the reason for it, even if she couldn't read his mind. "Good weekend?" she asked with a chuckle.

Jaina didn't look the happiest when she came to the door, though it would be much better to get this over with now rather than have class go badly, in her opinion. "So was Thursday some sort of test, or were you just not thinking at all?" she greeted him.

Anakin grinned back. "Hi. How's the newspaper? Has Paris taken over in a violent coup yet?"

"Very," he said, beaming. "It's always good see old friends."

"Yes," River said, images of Parker and Sam appearing in her mind. "It is. Especially some." She grinned at Anakin.

"It was very good to see Sam," he agreed, still smiling.

"Leia wasn't there!" Anakin said defensively.

Which...didn't rule out that second option yet, no.

Deadpool was just going to walk on by. Really. But the weird grin made him stop in the doorway and peer in, sniffing the air.

"Are you stoned?"

Now he had a different, slightly less intelligent (yes, it was possible) look on his face.

Walking into the office, Deadpool sniffed again. "Smoking the mari-ju-ana? You know? Reefer? The herb? Mary Jane? I'm running out of after school special phrases for it." He pouted. "If you do, I demand that you share!"
