It had been difficult to send Christopher back through the portal, especially when Juliet had woken up in the morning demanding to play with her new friend.

Loudly.

And every fifteen minutes.

So Anakin had fled like a fleeing thing had headed into work, though he was spending much of it texting with Rory. Hopefully Juliet would find something else to catch her attention soon.

Raven was sad she hadn't been able to bring Elizabeth to meet Anakin while she'd been there. Look, a well adjusted happy non-Anakin-Bass child! She was also sad about having to say goodbye to her (and Rook, too, for that matter) the night before, but her true parents were probably worried about her, and it was definitely for the best she go home.

So she was a little subdued when she appeared in Anakin's doorway that morning. "Good morning, Professor Skywalker," she greeted him.

Anakin glanced up and smiled. "Good morning, Raven. Come in. How did the weekend treat you?"

"It was...." She stopped herself before she said "stressful" because that word had a bad connotation to her now. "Interesting," she finally said, stepping inside to take her seat. "I had two children here for the weekend, two daughters."

"Anakin did not return?"

Anakin, try to look a little less thrilled about that.

Oh, Raven was utterly thrilled with that as well.

She shook her head. "No, he did not. This time there was Elizabeth, my daughter with Jono, and Rook." How best to explain her? "She is Karla's daughter, but mine as well."

"Ahh," Anakin said neutrally, nodding. "How were they?"

"Elizabeth seemed very healthy and well-adjusted, though she was concerned because Jono's appearance in that future is very different," Raven said. "Rook's world, however, it is not a pleasant one. I had hoped that with my father destroyed I would not have to struggle with the demon side of my soul, but that may not be the case."

Jaina was still a little depressed over Chak leaving, which she was focusing on rather than dealing with the thought of what might happen when she went home tonight. "No children hiding in the office today?" she checked.

"It's a weakness, and some people will always attempt to exploit a weakness," Anakin replied.

He didn't even blink at naming a child Rook--blame his upbringing for that. "How was Jono supposed to look according to Elizabeth?"

Anakin shook his head. "Christopher went home with the rest," he said. "Juliet is confused."

[solo_sword]

"Poor thing," she frowned. "I'm sorry I didn't get to meet him." Though who knows, saying bye to another kid might just help with that sad thing.

She'd been named Raven; she could hardly complain about the name Rook, though that had been entirely Karla's decision.

"He lost his powers while I was not there to heal him," Raven said. Considering half Jono's face and his chest were made of psionic fire, what would happen without the fire sustaining him was awful to contemplate. "But someone else did, though their reasons may not have been good ones."

She wasn't going to go too much into that, since it wasn't her place to share what Jono had told her about Apocalypse. "It altered his appearance so that his skin is blue, and he has markings upon his face now," she said. "Elizabeth was started to find him as he is now, and speaking only with his mind."

"Did you have any visitors?" he asked. "I'm still catching up on the news."

Anakin hissed in a breath. "The poor kid," he said sympathetically, not sure if he meant Elizabeth or Jono. "How'd she react?"

[solo_sword]

She nodded. "Chak. Who left his little brother back home. I think my brain's going to be recovering from this one for a while."

[trigons_child]

"Jono convinced her he was in disguise, and that seemed to be enough to satisfy her." Raven said. "But I am not certain how her true parents keep her out of trouble since she has my ability to teleport and made good use of it to travel around the island. She is fearless."

Her fond smile faded a little. "I found her with Professor Maximus at one point. She called him 'Uncle Max' and had convinced him to teach her to fight." So not her mother's daughter there.

"Maybe a little reckless, too, then," Anakin replied. "Or perhaps her version of Max isn't so...irritating."

That description of Max was wildly flattering, if you were Anakin.

"Not twins?" Anakin asked.

[solo_sword]

"No. Which is good. Probably would have made me miss the twins from previous years more." And she did miss them. It was good that they didn't come, though, all things considered. "Two years apart, apparently from somewhere where I was a baroness living in the Imperial Remnant."

No, not exactly.

"Perhaps we do not have the same history as we do here," Raven said. "Though I question the wisdom of attempting to teach a six year old how to use a sword."

[sith_happened]

"I didn't get one until I was twelve," Anakin said virtuously.

Anakin's jaw dropped. "The hell?"

And lo, there was a masked man in the doorframe.

"Skywaaaalker." Deadpool was always so polite about saying hello.

"That would be me," Anakin replied. "If you tell me you had a random child show up with one of my family members, I'm going to punch you very, very hard."

Anakin was also super polite!

Deadpool had to give that some thought. "No, just a kid with anger issues that kept swearing at me in a made up language."
